To all Century Village residents where ever you are.
Comments on the "characters" that support our emperor

To all residents of Century Village, where ever you are, the first Century Village celebrity award nominations is about to start.
Stew Richland

This is the time of the year when Hollywood decides on which performers should receive  recognition for their contribution to the movie industry.
Why should Hollywood have the sole monopoly on giving awards for artistic achievement?  There are quite a few performers here in Century Village that should be recognized and nominated for their contributions to life here in our community.

Vulgarity Award:  Peter Cruise:  For openers I think this Charlie Chan quote  describes Peter in general terms: “Man who speaks with forked tongue should   not kiss balloon.”  Calling people morons,  describing people as dangerous and
delusional, telling residents that they are going to be “Bakerized”, telling people they are losing their grip, telling people to get professional help etc. What you need Peter is instruction in the elegance of language.

Protector of “Eye Pollution” award:  Ripping down campaign posters from the bulletin board of your  association. You refer to campaign posters as “trash” that’s  a marvelous insight to “freedom of expression.”  I wonder how our Century Village  veterans feel about this.  They see him here, they see him there, they see him everywhere, looking, looking for that illusive political banner.  Who is this person?  The Pimpernel?  No! Just the “Pimple.”
I suggest Peter that you take your own advice and “seek professional help and detox.”

Achievement Award:  Not for Peter.  I have looked under every rock and sign in Century Village to find something positive that Peter has done, and low and behold I did find something!  The Water Bag that he carries for the UCO President who wants to run for a fourth illegal term

“SOME WHERE OUT THERE IS  A TREE, TIRELESSLY PRODUCING OXYGEN SO YOU CAN BREATHE, I THINK YOU OWE IT AN APOLOGY.”

Stay tuned to this column.  The next round of awards are coming soon!
